Sun Salutations: Fundamentals and Floating with Tom Burlinson
Sun salutations are at the heart of all Astanga, Vinyasa, flow and power yoga practices. They help to improve strength, flexibility, cardiovascular health, improve focus and can help reduce stress through alignment of movement and breath. We will be exploring all the component parts of the classical Surya Namaskar A and B with focus upon correct alignment, technique and modifications for the more complex poses in the sequence, allowing for a flowing, graceful and safe practice. We will look at specific poses and conditioning drills to strengthen the body and learn the balance needed for all the transitions including floating. Suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced students looking to deepen their knowledge.
