Yoga Anatomy Teacher tune up
These workshops are ideal for all teachers/yogi's looking to tune up on their Anatomy and Physiology knowledge.
It will take part in two 3 hour Modules, allowing you flexibility to either attend one of both!

Module 1:Yoga Anatomy - Understanding the structure of the body (muscular and skeletal systems) and how to help it move better on and off the mat. A refresher for teachers or a deeper understanding of the body for yoga practitioners. This workshop will include an Asana led class, exploratory workshop and online resources.
Module 2: Yoga Physiology - Understanding the functions of the body (digestive, endocrine, lymphatic and nervous systems) and the impact that yoga can have on lifelong health. A deeper exploration of the benefits of yoga for teachers and practitioners. This workshop will include Asana led, Pranayama and meditation practice with interactive workshop and online resources.
Delivery mode to include a led practice and seminar, with a brief pre-course task sent via email on enrollment.
This course is accredited CPD through Yoga Alliance, contributing towards your required hours.
Emily Young offers an inclusive and integrated teaching approach, using the study of anatomy and physiology as a tool to accept ones capacity and potential on the mat. With 20 years teaching experience, Emily is a Yoga Alliance ERYT, a Senior Lecturer in Health and Wellbeing at Edge Hill University and is currently studying for her PhD at the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine, Loughborough University. She has led Yoga teacher training and retreats across the globe including extensive time teaching and studying in India and Nepal.
