New Infrared Heated Studio

We’re delighted that you’re interested in learning more about our Infrared heated studio at Ella and Fleur Hot Yoga. We’re dedicated to providing you with a varied and unique experience of Hot Yoga and hope to provide you with two contrasting, yet exhilarating experiences at the studio.

Many of you will know that our ‘original’ hot studio uses a gas-powered system to heat and distribute hot air around the studio. This provides a fantastic experience, with air temperatures reaching above 40 degrees in certain classes!

Infrared heating is an entirely different experience, heating by radiation rather than convection. In the same way the sun warms the Earth, infrared heaters heat objects and people in their path, regardless of the temperature of the air. Infrared heat is natural and operates just like the warmth of the sun, the perfect way to recreate a tropical environment in the UK! It’s also a natural form of heat, with the emitted wavelengths in the ‘vital range’ of heat absorbed and radiated by the human body itself.

Another advantage of infrared is that surface temperatures, such as a floor, can feel 3-8 degrees warmer than the air temperature. This includes people; the direct warmth on people’s bodies can feel soothing and help boost flexibility. Radiant panels are also silent, creating an alternative experience to our gas-powered studio.

The rays penetrate deep into the surface of the skin to detox the body with sweat, relieve aches, and helps the body melt deeper into poses for an invigorating and productive practice. We have 6 infrared panels in Studio 2 with temperatures reaching a consistent temperature of 35-37 degrees.
